Hello all. I just bought a 40 gallon breeder and stand and the tank came with a hood light with a 24" fluorescent aquarium light. I am wondering if this will be ok to use for my leos? its a 17w made by All-Glass.

It's not necessary but it's not prohibited as long as your geckos have places to hide from the light if they don't want to be in it and you don't have albinos that are overly light sensitive.

When I posted the first time I realized that the post could be taken to mean that you shouldn't use a florescent light with an albino gecko since it wouldn't tolerate the light. What I really meant to say is that if you have an albino gecko,it may not tolerate the light, but it does depend on the gecko, so if you really want to try it you could, just keep in eye on it.
