FML tail problem need help!!

I had Pepper out today and as she was wondering i noticed the tip of her tail was blood red. Immediately, I got a warm paper tawl and softly wiped the tip, no blood. I dont know what happened. No trauma that I witnessed. Could this be from stuck shed? Im an over protective mommy.

...check the floor temp of the hottest spot in her cage. if its over like 97, it could have burned her a bit..

Oh my gosh, I'm not kidding, the exact thing thing just happened to my gecko. The tip of her tail ended up falling off and I had to take her to the vet. She is on meds right now for it. The vet said it was probably burnt by a hot spot on the heat pad. I have to replace the pad and turn the temp down.

Looks like bad shed to me. Sometimes it happens. Just keep an eye on it for infection and she should be fine.

I've had a few geckos that have done the exact same thing to their tail tips. To this day I honestly have no idea what it is. I DO know that it eventually goes away. Unfortunately sometimes part of the tail tip falls off.

Yea, I tried keeping neosporin on it. The heating pad is fine, im thinking it was bad shed too. Unfortunately its turned black so im thinking it will fall off soon =[
