Foot Gone Help

I just moved my male from 1 tank and and 2 females from another tank into the main large cage with one other female. Everything looked fine for the first 30 minutes and then I left and came back 20 minutes later only to find blood all over the place. One of my females lost everything from the ankle down and another female has a rip in the arm pit area. I added Bacitracin to the wounds. The female with the rip in the arm pit should do fine as there is really very little blood (more of a skin rip). The other with out the foot I am worried about. The bleeding stopped and I put Bacitracin on the wound. Will she be fine and will she survive. Currently she is walking around like nothing happened which I a surprised to see. I have her isolated in a container in the main unit. My wife is at school 90 minutes from home and can't be reached. My other car is at the mechanic which will be picked up in the morning. This all happened because I was reducing the amount of tanks I have and didn't know there would be a problem as long as there is only one male in the tank. The one male has been by himself for over 6 months and before that with other females without any problems.

Please advise me.

Thank you

PS all geckos are very healthy, fat and eat well.

Get her to a vet asap but in the meantime keep her on paper towels and change them every day and rinse the foot with a warm salt solution to help reduce the chance of infection.
Males should never be kept with females for prolonged periods of time as I also learnt the hard way.

The only time you should introduce a male to females is for breeding and even then only when she is ovulating and for a short time.
But tbh females don’t really get along with each other either, iv housed my females together for the last 6 years and all of a sudden this year they all started fighting so iv had to separate them all.
its better to be safe and house them all separately then be sorry :(

I hope she will be okay

All geckos are territorial. It's usually a bad idea to introduce a male when they are not receptive to breeding as disaster may happen if he tries to push himself on them. That injury sounds extremely severe. I would try to stop the bleeding by putting pressure on the wound and tying to get him to an emergency vet. Leos can recover from horrific injuries (as sausages post shows). If he doesn't loose too much blood or get an infection he'll more than likely survive.

Good luck and keep us posted on how he does!

The bleeding stopped right away THANK GOD. I cleaned the area with Bacitracin and but her on paper towels. No blood or ooz is seen as of right now. I will start the salt water in the morning. I just figured to give her a break for tonight. I will everyone know how she it doing. I realized after that this guy has been by himself for a while and must of been over compensating. I will be looking for a good home for the two males and 1 female we will be keeping 2 of the girls. I don't have the room to house all 5 of them in there on unit. If anyone lives local to the west plam beach area here in Florida give me a shout. 1 Typhoon 75g, 1 Rainwater 60g and 1 Supper Hypo Tangerine carrot tail 80g needs a good home.

I swear by the healing effects of honey. Whenever my animals have any sort of wound that's my go to. In a nut shell why it works- since it is so sweet, it draws out and bacteria that may be in the wound. I put it on once a day and wash it off the next, then reapply as needed. Also, since it is natural and non toxic, if little gecko licks it, there's no harm done. I'm not sure if the human antibacterial ointments are safe to consume or not.

However this is so extreme that a vet is needed ASAP. Is just put the honey on it for the time being until she can be seen.

(Disclaimer- honey sometimes is a controversial subject, but I'm not trying to start any debates here)
