Nick.... those weights from the site you are quoting are a guide at best. Don't believe everything you read, because there is not one single AUTHORITY of geckos on this planet ... besides me:p

With that said.... some giants get quite large and some don't from environmental issues(stunted growth, temps....). Also some NON GIANTS get huge too.

Giant is said to be codom, so if we take that as truth;) , only 50% of the offspring from Giant X non giant will be "giant".

Paul is very much right (of course :p)

Nick, we have a NON-Giant gecko that is pushing 120 grams.. he seemed to pass his size to some of our offspring, but not 50 percent (much less)

the besides me.. was a joke.

disclaimer:

I wasn't trying to make anyone look bad , as that isn't my style. So please don't take it as anything but info from one person. Everyone has a truth, but that doesn't mean they are right. That goes for anything.

Oops, forgot to put that in. I know a leopard gecko has to have the giant “gene” as the gene makes the “genetically predisposed” to be larger, I just forgot to put that in.

Well then if doing a giant x giant cross do you not use these guidelines for the offspring? If not how do you determine which geckos have the giant “gene” and which do not?

I don’t get what you are saying. Giant is considered co-dom so you either have it or you don’t. There are no hets.

normal size, giant and SG all look different body wise..... I just know what they are, but it's not easy to tell a large giant from a smaller SG.
