this past fall in my friends yard, looked like it was about to die, but he/she has recoved very nicely and almost doubled it's weight :0

I have a Baby Tiger Salamander named Watson :D

Obviously, not native to Alaska!

I'll have to take some updated pics of him, he's amazing looking and has gotten sooo big since I got him a while back.

Try Tiger Salamanders, my gosh, I swear they would keep eating until they exploded if you let them, they never quit.

I once caught a full grown spotted when I was kid, named it Slimer. lol
I wish I could find another. Been a long long time since I have seen one in the wild. Of course I dont look for them anymore. Probably the main reason I cant find one. lol
Valencia, If you want to find a spotted I am sure you have some in your area. Just look for marshy areas and search in the wooded areas surrounding the marsh.
Spotteds typicaly like to be around marshy areas from what I noticed as a kid.

Looking at that isn't that an Endangered spotted salamander. Back when i was a kid i only ever found one. Other 3 i have seen have been in wildlife centers.

spotted and tiger salamnders usually live in burrows most of the time except during the spring breeding season, that prolly why you dont see them, and there are pretty much salamders in every moist state in the us
