I've discovered free hides. In canada, we have these frozen food entrees called VH steamers or Heathy Choice Gourmet Steamers, they come in a white plastic bowl. When you're done eating your lunch, wash the bowl out, cut a door in the side, flip it over and you got a nice large free hide. I've even painted some of mine.

Thats' cool... :) I found some in the U.S. too that are cheap chow mein bowls. I have several and have my roomates saving theirs for me to use. Purfect for just about any size leo.

I like using meat packing trays. They are VERY cheap so no need to clean anything, just replace. Keeps things sanitary without breaking the bank. I have a few 120g+ geckos and they still fit in them comfortably so they work for all size geckos. I also use them for baby snakes and some juveniles of some species.

Awesome idea! Thanks!
I also get containers from the dollar store (like storage containers) cut a hole in the side and voila! Some of the containers come in packs of like 3. So I get 3 hides for a buck!

Just... for anyone reading this who may not already be aware; when cutting plastic containers for use as hides, waterdishes or egg-boxes, take some time to make certain you have not exposed any sharp edges or created any pointed burrs in the process. Especially when keeping species with fine, soft scalation (like leopard geckos).
