friends ball got out

Alright so our friend whos been staying with us for the last 2 weeks got a ball python when they first got here. I thought it would be taken to his moms where the rest of his reptiles are, but it ended up staying here. She doesn't bother me so I don't mind her staying a while longer. I'd offered some rocks to weight her screen top down, but was ignored. His wife put things on the tank to weight the top down, and he took them off. Well we just found the tank open with no snake inside. My husband is now freaked out now that it is loose in the house cause he doesn't like snakes that aren't contained unless they are outside.
My question is whats the best way to try and find her? Any suggestions are welcome.

Look under drake areas during the day and during night just look around without the lights on. Goodluck!

Warm, dark areas are common. Mine has gotten out twice. Once my ex found him in the toilet drinking, apparently it tasted better than his water. The second time I found him under the freezer that was in the room; he was where the heat was under the freezer.
