From my garden - Tree Agamas

I have quite a few around my yard and here's some showing pretty intense colours!

A while ago I was outside in the rain catching flying ants... and my puppy started barking and jumping around.
Below was why, this tree agama was hissing and snapping at my dog. It did look scared but wasn't backing off.

After I chased it away to safety I turned around and almost stood on another one.
This one was so full of flying ants it couldn't even move! I just picked it up off the ground, hahaha.

Yesterday afternoon I was doing a bit of gardening and found this little guy.
At first I thought it was a gecko because of the size and it was "stuck" to the side of my wall... but on closer inspection I noticed it was a baby tree agama. And this chap didnt even try make a run for it, it pretty much climbed onto my hand.

After showing the misses and my sister I took a photo and released it back into the "wild"

Why can't Japan have cool lizards like these?? ;-; They're awesome!

We just have common gray geckos...

But they're commonly known to most of the locals here as Blue Headed Lizards
