FTS...

How common is it, and how bad is it when one gets it? My 2 cresties now like to, for some reason, hang upside down on the top of their cage on the screen and plop down. Just worried that they might end up with FTS from all their stunts.

FTS most people believe is due to environmental stress. It isnt genetic. Most cresteds in the wild do not have their tails, and alot of people believe part of the reason could be due to FTS. So long as the hips do not rotate from it being sever, it doesnt really effect the geckos. Best way to help insure your gecko doesnt get it, try to cover 3 of the sides with plants, and have several places to hide on the floor. If you find your gecko sleeping upside down constantly, try rearranging the setup a bit. If that doesnt help, reach in there and adjust the way your gecko is sleeping, they eventually get the hint and start sleeping in a different position.
