Ok so here's my story. IDK if you all have seen stubs but I h ave placed a pin in one of these forums somewhere lol.His tank is set up on a very large counter area. Well last night i placed my arms on the counter in front of it and placed my chin on my arms and started to talk to him while he was out...he started to creep up to my face reaaalll slow and then started spinning his tail around in circles b4 he got to the tank and tried to get my lips! isn't that funny? Now for a question...is this a male trait? Was he trying to start a fight? I mean h e crept up to the glass like he was gonna attack my moving lips lmao was hillarious and LMFAO for like 10 minutes. If this is a male trait should i not wonder his sex anymore as I have not determined it yet? LOL thought you would like this story as much as I did. Putting pic of Stubs up again for those that don't remember him and he only weighs 10 grams so is still young, that's why I couldn't determine sex tho he is bulky for his size

Don't know about male traits, but it sure is a cutey.

Your text color is really hard to read against the background on this site.

That is pretty funny.. I would think that he thought you were food.. our geckos will literally run back and forth in the tank as I walk by, like little dogs, when they think it's feeding time :main_yes: If I put my finger or face up to the glass, they will snap at me through the glass like they're trying to eat me.. Both our males and females do this, so I wouldn't think that it is necessarily an indicator of sex. Great story, thanks for sharing :)

Stubs is ADORABLE btw

You don't necessarily have to stick to regular text color, just keep in mind that the background is black-ish, so bright and light colors stand out better :)

It's not just a male trait, my little girl has done the tail wave before. Though I have NO idea why she did it, she did it none the less. I've read different things about it, like males to it to determine if another leo is also a male. Or they do it when they feel threatened or stressed.

Whatever the reason is, it is definately cute to see!

Is the leo chill when you bring it out of the tank, or do you not handle it too much?!

I rarely take him out mostly I hold him within his tank as I have only had him for a couple weeks..scared he will jump lol..but seems semi docile when holding him compared to my other one that is quite jumpy

They calm down alot when they get older, my oldest female loves to be held and pet, and my mail is kinda wild but he loves to explore my room, he has gotten out to many times to count, but i find him an hour later sitting in the middle of the room sleeping.

It just seems like one of those things. My geckos are super comfortable with me, the one that did the tail wag will actually climb onto my hand to come out.

I just look at it as cute. lol

Saw him see what i think is a reflection of himself in the black bottom part of his tank. it's a shiny spot and he was wagging his tail and going slowly back and forth with his nose on it :p he has such a cool and funny personality haha..amazes me that even these little cold blooded creatures all have individual personalities and act dif..Love it an d them! :D
