Have you noticed Temperature fluctuating or spiking??
Are you sure it's the incubator?
*EDIT* You also stated "HE"... what was your temp?* (Ive had this happen once with my cresteds. my whole apartment got to almost 95deg. (AC broke ))

Have you ever bred this pair before?
how closely related is the pair?

I' not a fan of those incubators, Anything that "flashy" cannot be good. Trust me, I install car audio. LOL Plus the price tag is quite high.

I've never had a problem with my "found on the side of the road" bar fridge, and with heat tape and thermostat cost me a whopping $50 max.

Cheers.

the digital display fluctuates +/- 3 degrees but it said somethinmg about that not being the temp inside. i think thats what its putting out to keep the temp at proper temps.. the theremostat seems always on 83f

first year with this pair.
They came from the same breeder.. both are pac greens.. but the male was a bit older. and was fully spotted the others are super hypos

Honestly those things just happen sometimes. I wouldn't think it would have anything to do with the incubator. Just my opinion.

If you truly suspect the incubator, you might take some eggs to another as a precautionary measure. It could be a genetic fluke. That happens too. Sadly, all babes don't survive. That's the downside of breeding....

We purchased an exoterra last year and have been using it all this year , so far we have hatched out 40 eggs in the past two months and all has been fine 100%. When we received ours I let it run for a couple of days and had the same problem you are having . Mine was moving 5 degrees + and - what it was set at . I called exoterra thinking I had a defective one and of course they offered to replace it but the person I talked to told me that the digital reading is actually reading the heating elements temp . And after some thought I tried to beat this problem on my own . Once I got temp setting on all three levels with my own digi therms I found that the actual inside temp stays pretty constant . Hope this helps ...... Zach ( REFFNER'S GECKOS )
