I have Klingenberg's book, but I was wondering if there is any other recommended books for some further reading? Just for my own peace of mind.

Any suggestions would be wonderful! Thanks.

Which version of "Understanding Reptile Prasites" by Roger Klingenberg, DVM do you have? There is now a 2nd Edition that is f-a-r better than the first.

Also, any of the Merck Veterinary Manuals are good, but I like "Infectious Diseases and Pathology of Reptiles: Color Atlas and Text" (Hardcover) by Elliott Jacobson, and I'd love to have a copy of "Reptile Medicine and Surgery" (Hardcover) by Douglas R. Mader...but is soooo expensive!

I think it might be the first edition, I can't find a number on it other than "The Herpetocultural Library Secial Edition" on the cover. Copyright is 1993.

Thanks so much for the list! I'll see if I can track down the second version too.

I have a copy of the "Reptile Medicine and Surgery"; my vet strongly recommended this book to me; they say they often reference back to the "bible" when they make diagnose.

My copy is definitely the first edition. Newly Updated edition is copyrighted 2007. I just ordered the second one. The fact that it wasn't in color should have been my first clue. :main_rolleyes:

The other two are a tad out of my price range at the moment. Hopefully I'll be able to swing it soon.

BTW - Marcia, Amazon actually has "Reptile Medicine and Surgery" for 30% less than I found it other places. If you're still looking.

Thanks for your help guys.
