Hey everyone, hows it goin?

I have read a number of posts where some of us have talked about games so i figured id start an official gamers corner where id like it if all GF gamers could include the following:

1. consoles you own and play the most.

2. If you are a Pc gamer like myself. please add your pc stats.

3. Games most played.

4. Favorite type of game (FPS,Action adventure,RPG, MMORPG, Strategy, sci fi Survival horror etc)

5. Game id(username) so we can find you and either vs you or work together.

6. Gamer tag and or Xfire username.

I was thinking of starting another thread called gamers corner 2 (help, tips,cheats and guide) but ill only start that if there are enough gamers on here or if you want it?.



Guess i should start-

1. I don't own a console but i have had all of the older ones over the years.

2. Don't know, not really a PC gamer, I play zoo tycon, and RA2 alot but not much else

3. Gonna get nerd hammered for this but Pokemon, Fire Emblems, Madden

4. RTS, and Turn Based Battle Strategy games... lol hence the pokemon...

Hm. I don't know. lol. Decent enough to not run/look like crap when I play games. =P

Final Fantasy XI, FlyFF, various other RPGs and such when the mood strikes

MMORPG, RPG, puzzle, Harvest Moon and the like.. The genre of game escapes me at the moment

Not much of a console gamer, though I still rock out on the N64 on occasion. i also own a PS2 which I play sometimes.

My PC (which I will be upgrading some stats of)

OS: Windows Vista/Ubuntu (Ibex) dual boot
HDD: over 1 TB with my external, 750 GB without external
RAM: 6 GB
CPU: AMD Phenom(tm) 9850 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.5GHz (May be overclocking once I upgrade the Mobo)
Mobo: will be upgrading to the ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe
Power Supply: Will be upgrading to ~950 w

3. Games most played.
When I have time it has currently been Fallout 3. I also play Oblivion, Guild Wars, Half-Life 2, STALKER, Neverwinter Nights (original) ....many others

4. Favorite type of game (FPS,Action adventure,RPG, MMORPG, Strategy, sci fi Survival horror etc)
I enjoy almost all genres. The only things I don't play are sports games..

PS3 and PS2, DS, PSP - in that order.

2. If you are a Pc gamer like myself. please add your pc stats.
I don't play pc games very much any more but I used to be really into World of Warcraft. Recently I've played Warhammer Online and Spore. Not terribly certain about my laptop's stats but I know I have a decent video card; Geforce nVidia 8600GT and a really good sound card. Not sure what kind it is, but my lappy sounds AWESOME. lol


3. Games most played.
Final Fantasy VII (30+ hours, thankyouverymuchchocobobreedingsidequest), World of Warcraft (don't ask), probably a bunch of other rpgs - Final Fantasy VIII and IX, Ecco: Defender of the Future, Ecco the Dolphin (for Sega Genisis), Shining Force (also for Sega Genisis), Suikoden I and II, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. Note most of these were in my earlier gaming days. I don't have a whole lot of time to play them nowadays. :<


4. Favorite type of game (FPS,Action adventure,RPG, MMORPG, Strategy, sci fi Survival horror etc)
Horror (Big fan of Silent Hill, particularly 1-3, 4 and 5 aren't without their charm but they don't really feel very Silent Hill-ish), RPG, and MMORPG - mostly depends on the game though.

Wow this is really taking off hey, lets keep it going.

Just remembered i do have 2 consoles. Sega Dreamcast and an incredibly rare Gamepark GP32 Blue handheld which i seldom play. Gamepark was starting to get big but they put all their fruit in to one basket and went bust. The talent of the company left and started a new company called gamepark holdings and is doing real well.

Technically I'm still receiving a bachelor's in Fine Arts...so later I hope to be mastering in either illustration or sculpture. It's really hard but it's a lot of fun, too. I'm more into the art aspect (Concept art and such) of the field more so than the programming but I can program too and it makes it easier to talk to the full fledged coders. Good luck with college and finding another one, as well!

No I do not own the consoles to play all these games, but my boyfriend likes to share his.

Action adventure/Mystery and RPGs
My friend and I would go to the game store, buy one out of the cheap-PC-games-nobody-likes bin and play it through in one night; our all time record was 8 hours.

Anyone played Flower on the PS3? That game is another great example as Games as Art. It's also great for helping stave off the winter blues.
