Hello,

Its been a while since ive posted here. One of my geckos Issac has been acting up lately. He is housed together with another gecko named eko. I am not sure if they are a he or she. However, recently issac as of two days has been runing around his tank like a maniac. ! I checked both of them to see if there are any signs of scuffles or nothing, Issac is bigger than eko so im not sure if he feels bullied or not. Since then ive taken eko out of the tank but issac is still doing this. Its like he has random spasms and he goes nuts and runs around in a very very fast pace. And when i look at him he is just tense and his heart or stomach is beating rapidly. Any help?

He is an active eater/ Pooper. Mostly mealworm diet. Temperatures are always the same. This has never happened before.

Never house geckos together of unknown sexes, ever.
Post pics and we can help you sex them

Well it looks like they are both females (with male names). It sucks, they were all fine and then one day i start noticing the heavier bigger one running around scared and eko the slimer tangerine just standing.

Issac is completely scared of eko, and recently i tried putting them back together and issac went nuts. It wasnt until like a minute or two after i noticed eko shaking her tail like she does for the prey but it made a sound like never before. i currently have issac the bigger one in a 20 gal and eko the slimmer in a 10.

Eko the tangerine, does not have as good of an appetite anymore, i switched him over to mealworms and he eats them but not as much.. it sucks!

Rapid tail rattling is typically something a male leopard gecko does.

Yeah, that can also be a mating thing lol. My male did that to my female all the time. If he hadn't had his hemis surgically removed then I'm sure I would have had eggs lol

I would also suggest checking on YouTube for leopard gecko breeding videos. These will show you the interaction of geckos during the breeding process. You can then compare it to what you are experiencing.

Here are the best shots i could possible get.. Issac is extremely scared of eko. I put them together and issac runs to the other side like a maniac really fast.

EKO tangerine.. The one doing tail rattling.

And here is Issac Regular. Running around very scared, also the one with the most appetite out of the two.

I really dont want to get rid of 1 or the other.. i want to find out the best thing i can do so if anyone could help me id appreciate it.

Ive been trying to get eko to eat for a long time but his appetite is so soo low. The temperatures are fine according to what is reccomended. He use to eat alot when he was younger mostly crickets , then i changed him to mealworms for 3 months now and he does not eat. Ive tried twice already feeding him crickets but hes not interested in them either.

Those are both male.
Do not attempt to house them together again or you could have some serious injuries, or worse, a dead gecko.

I'd guess you weren't having problems until now cuz your geckos weren't sexually mature
The running around I assume is a territorial threat display
