Gecko business

My Gecko does not like for me to hold him and runs away from me when I try and take him out of his cage to play. Any reason why?

Geckos are generally not very social animals. Some tolerate handling. Some seem to like it (at least when the hand is warm). I find that many geckos have these tendencies almost out of the egg. Some of my hatchlings are easy to handle from day 1 and some never seem to like it, even though they were all brought up in the same place. You could continue to try to calm it down, or else you may just have to treat it as a display pet.

Thanks! Ive owned one other gecko and he loved to be handled and he loved when I got him out of his cage. For this one its the complete opposite!
