We've had Apollo, our snow leo for about 4 months and in the last month or so he has gotten really skinny. We found a reptile vet about 45 min away and took him in last night. We were told he has crypto, or wasting away disease. She said there is a treatment that MAY help to a point, but that euthanasia is usually the outcome. We opted to try the treatment. The only reason we chose this is that he is still eating on his own. He wants the nutrition but just can't fully digest. Did we make the right decision to try? Or are we prolonging his agony?
