Ok everyone need to pick some brains! So here is the last Thread I started after Twigg ate Moss...

http://geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=77558

So all was well after this happened...she started eating again after about 3-4 days. Ate fine..pooped fine for a few weeks till just this weekend she went into shed again. I did make the change to moist papertowel in the humid hide. She shed but never started eating again...I began to notice she was very bloated again. last night I caught her trying to regurg something. No luck! So I did a warm soak and a drop of oil thinking well what the hell, she's just having trouble digesting her shed for some reason. (warm hide temps are always between 92-95 degrees.)

So after I soaked I seperated her to a tub to watch her pooping and such. This AM there was urate but no poop. So I did another warm soak, drop of oil and let her be. Today I got home from work to find a bunch of sloppy what I thought at first was shed...but once I looked closer it was actually paper towel. She ATE the paper towel!!!

So what the hell do I do now??? Anyone else ever seen this issue?? I thought for sure no further issues since I stopped the moss and changed to papertowel...NEVER thinking this would happen with the papertowel!

Good grief! What a naughty girl she is! Maybe just heavily mist the container, keep it on the warm side so it steams up, but don't put anything else in it. She could injure herself trying to rip up anything else.

Hmm, in that case, what about a little cloth in her moist hide? She probably won't be able to chew through cotton, linen, or whatever else you can keep moist :main_laugh:

Bad, bad girl :D Maybe she wants to tell you, "mommy, I'm hungrier than you think"????

Chrissy and Laney...Im telling ya this little Leo is VERY naughtly...who would have though she would eat the paper towel!!!

No I have been racking my brain on this one trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with this girl to be eating stuff...here is my thought!

I don't think she's intentionally eating anything...I think while most my Leo's sit in the moist hide to prep their skin to shed and then they leave and start the shedding process in the viv...i think she does the whole thing in her hide..and while trying to bite and pull and eat her skin is catching the substrate in the hide and in true dip $hit fassion she doesn't think to spit out the funny chewy stuff that is going down with the skin!!

So thats my theory...if thats not the case then she is just truly a complete dummy! LOL

I was thinking about putting a sponge in there...but am worried about bacteria growth. Is there a good way to sanitize the cloth or sponge that is Gecko safe...non-toxic...Im thinking vinager?

BAD GIRL IS RIGHT!!!
