Gecko exhibit!

A while ago I almost applied to the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia for volunteer work but due to the fact I just got a new job I never sent the application through because I didn't know what my hours would be. The other day I got a letter from them asking me to volunteer. This letter specifically seemed to want me to volunteer in their new exhibit on GECKOS! I looked at the list of the geckos they will be having on exhibit and I'm so excited. I'm going to fill in an application to volunteer just so I can work with animals I love. That's awesome! I'm thinking about volunteering at the Baltimore Aquarium in the herp area but I don't think they'd have many geckos.

I think they keep a lot of dart frogs there. I haven't been in a while though. The herp area in the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago was amazing. They had leopard geckos, a blue iguana, a komodo dragon and many other awesome rare creatures that you never see anywhere else.

I'm going to be going to this exhibit on Friday July 3rd since I'll be in Philly for 4th of July weekend. I don't know exactly when I'll get there, probably late morning. Anyone interested in joining me?

I see from the website (link is above at first post) that there will be workshops on 2 Saturdays, one in June and one in July about keeping geckos. They are about 3 hours each and the website says that the last hour is devoted to more advanced gecko keepers.

Omg! My parents heard about that last time they were down in Philly and brought home a bunch of flyers and stuff. I was actually thinking about going down and checking it out at some point. That's so cool you'll get to volunteer there!
