Gecko gagging/wretching

First off apologies if this is in the wrong board.

I have recently put a meal worm dish in to my geckos viv.
He has eaten from there twice ( 1 meal worm a time I believe ).
Each time he has eaten a meal worm he begins to wretch as if he is going to vomit.
He hasn't actually vomited, though he does seem a bit 'wiped out' after the ordeal and proceeds to rest out of cover in the warm part of the viv.
is there anything I can do to help him?
Should I be concerned?
any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Additional info:
Gecko is albino roughly 4 months old.
Meal worms are normal size, I tried mini meal worms first of all but he didn't go for them at all.
He is not disturbed after eating and is comfortable with my presence/being handled.
Meal worms are in (escape proof) dish on/in calcium powder.

I have no idea what's going on. Maybe a video would help? When I was a kid and had reptiles (we had no care info and killed more reptiles that I care to think about due to lack of knowledge) we would think the reptile was gagging on a mealworm when it was just eating it the normal way.

I agree that it's difficult to tell without a video. After eating, mine usually works his mouth a bit and swallows for a while to get the food down. If he's had a very big meal, he'll sometimes do this little head/neck twisting motion to hurry the process long.

I will try to get a video if it happens again. But it's like he is throwing up. He opens his mouth wide and his hole body tenses and strains. He also shakes his head while doing this.

Heyy! My male did this a few months back, I think the mealworm went down funny and the feet caught his lip and it freaked him out, he was fine after and has done it once since and was fine again then too. He just needs to learn to strike at the right angle! hope this puts your mind at rest.. Ps I feed mine with individually each night instead of leaving a bowl, I drop in 1 at a time so he doesn't rush and can have a break, also I can keep good track of how many he eats and use that to justify weight gain or loss, and look for health issues:)
