i purchased a gecko yesterday.
it was pre ordered so i have no choice but to get what i ordered.
but to my surprise it is very thin and small in size compared to my other hatchlings. he wouldnt eat mealworms i put and didnt seem to see them.
so i cut open a mealworm pupa and let him lick the juice, which he licked very willingly and swollowed it. then i gave him 1 more.
after 8 hours, he puked the two pupas and notice some watery poops and kinda stinky too..
now i dont know what to do.. any advise?
heres a pic

Be a Mother

Get it to a vet. If you cant get in right away, get the gecko on the GGG slurry.
Be a Mother and feed it. Nothing as large as those worms. If you feed worm guts (use only guts...no casings yet.), slurry, or baby food and watch the poop. Save some and get the vet(or someone you know that's(free) a chemist) to analyze it for Parasites...It's eating anyway...good sign...fatten that tail with a small wax worm worked in the food routine...Don't keep it with another until its clean of ??? and some weight on it.
Take care... HJ

Those worms are much too big! I wouldn't eat them either!

Stinky poop is usually a dead give away for parasites. Get a fecal float done and get meds and start your gecko on slurry.
