Gecko help please

My leopard gecko has a wound on his tail from yesterday most likely a superworm did it cause i found it in the hide with him and usually he eats everything so i had no worry but when i seen that wound on him i freaked out and idk what to do one person told me he'll drop his tail but so fair he hasnt ive planned to bring him to the vet but i wanted some info first please help me

Welcome to GF. There's not much to do besides make sure the gecko is not on a particle substrate (like sand) and keep it clean. It's likely that the tail tip will get brittle and black and fall off. This is not a problem. The tail tip should regenerate.

that's right. As long as there isn't sand or dirt that will get into the wound, just leave it alone and let nature take its course.
