Hey everyone. As of a few weeks ago, I could see that my female leopard gecko was pregnant. I put In a laying box for her, with Eco earth being the substrate. Within a week, I started seeing dirt being flung out of the box, so I knew she was almost ready to lay. For whatever reason, I never thought if getting the incubator ready earlier, and now I am heavily regretting that. I woke up today, to see 2 white eggs in the tank. One in the hide, and one by the water. I will be able to make one, just not until around 3 when my mother gets home and she can drive me to go get the right supplies. I carefully picked up both eggs so that I could inspect them, and I noticed a few little dent ins on each of the eggs. I looked it up online and it means that they are either dead or the egg is just dehydrated. Thinking they are just dehydrated because I use sand, I got a Tupperware container with a lid, filled it about 2-3 inches with Eco earth and began to moisten it. I carefully put the eggs in there making sure not to flip them over, and put the lid on. I then placed it under a high lamp. I guess I am just asking, is there still a possibility that the eggs will survive? Are there any other things I should do in the mean time? Like I said, the thing I had just made was only temporary until I can get my hands on some vermiculite and some other things.
I'm just really freaking out and worried! Thanks!
