gecko kicking in dirt??

ok so my gecko laid an egg out of her moist hide then i moced the hide she laid it under and put the egg in the incubator, then 5 minutes later she was kicking dirt all over in the moist hide,

but didnt lay another egg..what does that behavior mean??thanks

NoDavid. Did you give her enough time to lay it?
Do you have a scale?.........Maybe you over looked it?
She may only lay one but going through the process.
May be learning to dig better "noholes"?........noH NoJ

i gave her enough time to lay..i do have a scale, i dont think she has another egg, cuz theres still no egg, maybe shes practicing.

Get your money's worth out of that scale..use it..Keep track of layer female's weight. Average size egg clutch of 2 takes them down approx. 7 grams........Good for you to know when and how many they laid without digging....Good for them, so you will know to keep their weight up for next eggs.....t.c....h.j...

My gecko has a tendency to kick dirt or in my case sand(yes sand please dont say anything about impaction I know my choice and by the way the geckos in the tank do fine) into the moist hide in an attempt to better bury the egg or eggs. Thats how I know she layed the moist hide is full of sand.
