So a gecko i just took in has BAD metabolic bone diease...Her jaw is deformed, her front legs are deformed(she walks on the elbow parts) Her backs suckin, her spin looks like its deformed and shes 15 grams and 6 years old... I'll post pics if anyone really wants to see her(shes so sad looking!) but i just dont know what to do. She's obviously in destress, wont eat, and shes heart breaking. the vet doesnt have a opening for 2 weeks about and i dont know if she has that long. The previous owner had her and another gecko(whos not as bad but does have early signs of MBD) one this...gravel type stuff(which they ate, the one pooped some out!) with a 1-5 gallon tank heater for a 10. a big huge water bowl which had flys? or flying mites(if there is such thing) both are in rough shape but this one is in terrible shape. Ive heard things of leos getting so bad but never seen it with my own eyes and now that i do... what do you guys think? Is she save-able? Or should we end her misery?...
