Gecko not eating

Hello all, my daughter got a leopard gecko for Christmas. We've been giving it crickets and mealworms in a regular schedule with a little bit of calcium powder, over the past few days he has stopped eating and he started losing weight he'll get close to his meal but he won't eat it, and he spends his time sleeping. Kind of concerned and hopefully somebody has an ideas to what we can do before I have to take it to the vet or before it dies. Any information is greatly appreciated!

Check and see if the calcium powder also has vitamin D3 in it. If not, get some Repashy Calcium Plus which has calcium, D3 and vitamins. It needs the D3 to metabolize the calcium.
Is the floor of the enclosure on the hot side in the low 90's? That's a good thing to check as well.
If it's only been a few days, I can't imagine that it's really losing weight. I have leopard geckos that don't eat for weeks and there is no visible weight loss. If it's really getting suddenly much thinner there could be a problem, but is it possible that in your concern it just seems as if it's getting thinner? (I have no idea, but it doesn't hurt to check). Many geckos don't eat sometimes for longer than you can imagine and everything is OK. Is it sleeping mostly during the day or in the evening too? If it will set your mind at rest, you could check out a reptile vet and make an appointment. Keep us posted.

The powder has D3, yes. The warm side is about 85, he sleeps a lot during the day, if he's not sleeping he's not doing much otherwise. He sleeps at night but walks and gets water too.

I'll look into reptile vets in my area just in case.
