LOL!! why is that?
Mine hate to leave it!
Except when they know it's dinner time.
Then they move to their cave and wait for the crickets. :D

My HTCT female will sit still and let me scritch her head and chin, and lick at my fingers, but she jumps and arches her back if I touch her there. I don't know why she's okay with me touching her head and not her back.

At night she likes to lay with her body in her hide but her head and front legs poking out of the entrance. It's cute. :)

Mine seems to like to be stroked about 1.5 centimetes behind his eyes, he puts his head in the air and closes his eyes and just stays there

When I put my hand in his cage, he licks it and then starts screaming. it realy scares me!
When I feed him, he doesn't notice the cricket until it starts burrowing under him, and then he goes crazy!

i've got tile in my tanks and i put papertowel in their bathroom corner. And every one of them ( i've got 3 in one tank...babies) decided they would rather sleep on the papertowels and started "going" on the other side of the tank!!! What a bunch of weirdos. they have totally abandoned all their hides and sleep right out in the open.

Mine used to do that too. He would use the water dish as a pillow or just simply pass out in the middle of the tank. So I got him another hide and placed it on the cool side. Now he sleeps in there on occasion (when he's not hogging his moist hide)

I guess my leos are still to new and young to have a definite personality, but I do see some patterns in their behavior. They have gotten over any fear of me, but will not yet get on my hand (unless theres a fat yummy waxie in it!!).

I am noticing that their personalities are going to be way different from each other.

Ya know, I have to laugh at my friends who think leos arent good pets!! ;)

Typing out my last post made me think of something. Kind of depressing. Maybe this has happened to you too!? You have this leo, boy or girl, and its in its own home. You spend weeks acclimating and working on gaining his or her trust, one little baby step at a time. Then, your leo finally bonds to you and it's such a great feeling. You have done something most people cant, or dont have the patience for, tamming a basicly wild animal and making it a trusting friend.
Then, you decide one day to give your little friend a room mate (of the opposit sex). Slowly, your pet looses intrest in you and cant be bothered with you anymore unless you have something good to eat!! Thats when you realize that you lost the bond, and the other animal has replaced you.

So, the moral of this story; when you find that "special" pet, dont try to breed it! :main_no:

Does anyone know what I mean? :main_huh:

well i'm not a newb, just bored right now. lol

my female (Ringo, seen to the left) is a "princess" she has this super big tank, with a rock wall thing, tile, hides. and the whole nine. she is always up at the top laying under the fake plants. she only comes out when she wants to be held. to feed her i have to place one mealie at a time on the wall so she will eat it. in the bowl or on the floor she won't touch them. then she always takes her sweet little princess time to crawl onto my hand, like i have nothing better to do then to stand bent over her tank & wait for her majesty!

How cute! Oh, Dave, how is your cat? I read about the poor thing's cyst...
my dog has 2 (but they're not harmful and will clear up soon).

Gecko's

My one gecko bites but is very active and will sleep in-front of his cage with his head up in the air. That's is hyper gecko, always on the loose and playing. I don't know if he or she ever sleeps. I always find in front of the cage looking out or playing, or trying to stalk me, then his tail does this wag thing and he is looking right at me. I think he thinks I am prey to eat. :D

My other gecko Ninja sleeps a lot, does not come out much, however he does not bite like the other gecko I have.

The only thing they have in common is poop and they both love to eat a lot. :main_laugh:
