Gecko purple tail

Hi, I was cleaning my Leo's enclosure earlier and I took my rainwater albino out, I guessed I stressed that fella and he was wriggling his tail vigorously when I left him back in the tank. However, when I went and check on him, I noticed that the tip of his tail turned stiff and purple out of a sudden, the tail seems to be attached to the body but it's purple sorta like having a blood clot in it.

Anyone experienced the same problem?

Well this is no good..
its either going to drop or you may have to have it amputated.

PICSx100. I certainly hope he drops it himself, amputation is not fun.
