She has not been opening her eyes as mush as she used to, then after the last shed, a few days ago, she barely ever did. It would seem as though she were trying(her eyes were moving under her eye-lids) but she just couldn't open them(she has a moist hide). So I soaked her a bit and noticed she had shed stuf in both of her eyes. I was able to get a little of it out, but there is still some left and I feel like she is in pain. Any adivce?

i guess the best thing is to get all the shed away, im no expert but it may be hurting her eyes or sticking into them, why dont you try a warm, damp ear tip?

give her a bit of a warm soak. get some sterile saline solution and flush her eyes. you can dampen a q-tip try and help get any of the remaining visible shed out of her eyes. you may have to repeat this but once you get the shed out. she should be able to open her eyes well. make sure and be very gentle around her eyes.

As robin said I get a wet cue tip and dab their eyes to get all the visible shed out.

How would dabbing the eyes with a q-tip get rid of the shed if the eys are closed and the shed is inside?

you want to flush the eyes and only use a q-tip to remove any visible shed in the eye. also if the q-0tip is damp and you gently roll it across the eyelid you might get some that is not visible and it will help.

also warm humid soaks will up the humidity making the skin in the eyes easier to work with.
