GECKO TRAINING HUMANS 101

I'm pretty sure this will be a waste to most that read it.............BUT anyway:.....
It is so cute and cool when your gecko trains you to hold food for
he/she and eats it right from your fingers.....
Yeah I think so too.....And I thought it was great fun that they could teach me something to connect a little more with my hobby......
And they do train us with those pretty eyelids fluttering.

But have you been trained by your guy or gal yet, that it is SAFER another way..........
Oh yeah, they will at the time you least expect it......
And it will teach you another aspect of the gecko's might, or should I say Gecko's BITE.........
My Conan taught me to use these.
And made a believer of me on his Jaw Strength and ability to
rip apart prey-fingers.(see photo)

Nice advice Griz. Ive never had a gecko train me but i sure wouldnt want to either. Im sure their is nothing like having a 120 gram gecko chew on your finger. Why havent you came by to see my new ones?

Kathleen, that's him, the big guy Conan..(126 gr.) ..
powerful, persistent, but a gentle pussycat too.
except when he bit me BAD......thought it never would stop bleeding.
He not only grabbed my thumb but he shook it, as to pull apart his prey.
Looked like an alligator bite and he did teach me early not to misjudge his
capabilities. The wooden tongs have been used on every "hand type" feeding since........take care.

I need to see pictures of a gecko bite. It is so hard for me to believe they can do that kind of damage! I never hand feed my geckos live prey because I am so busy I don't want them getting used to it, but I know if I did, just out of respect for the animal, I would use tongs!

Bite Photos??

I need to see pictures of a gecko bite. It is so hard for me to believe they can do that kind of damage! I never hand feed my geckos live prey because I am so busy I don't want them getting used to it, but I know if I did, just out of respect for the animal, I would use tongs!

Sorry, no photo of the bite.....But I always thought of it as a slice with a raiser blade........Good Thought...Tongs!!! take care

You can see how contagious it is too look at him. Was always big, solid, always
