Gecko turned off by new suppliments?

Kyriee wont eat the new rephashy cal+. I put it on some supers, she sniffed and licked her lips a bit but ultimatley ignored it. Any ideas, maybe the smell turned her off? It has a fruity banana smell to it.

you could try gradually transferring from one to the other. So sprinkle some of the old stuff with a little of the new and each time you feed gradually add more of the new and less of the old...

I agree. Try mixing the Cal+ a little more at a time to your existing supplement regime.

Ok, ill use the pure calcium, i dont think i need to use the D3 so long as i can get her to eat a little cal+ with the pure calcium.

Jeez, i really gotta say this stuff smells strong. I wonder if its just the foreign smell turning him off. Im mixing the cal and cal+. I was wondering if i shouldnt also sprinkle some of this stuff around the tank to desensitise him to the smell.

I use the same supplements. My geckos weren't too excited about the new stuff, but if you leave it in their tub/cage they will eventually get used to it. Maybe not try so much at one time.

Have you tried Dinofuel or Dinofuel Raptor Edition? Each is made to bring specific colors out of herps. Made from Spirulina, Bee Pollen, Brewers Yeast, all kinds of good stuff. Here's a couple of links to check out, it might stimulate their appetites. Just dust some crickets, roaches, or fruit flies with it and you're ready to go

Yeah, not intrested but thanks for the heads up. My main concern(idiot me) is that im going on vaca saturday until the 2nd. My parents are going to be caring for the animals(part of the reason cal+ is so important, easy to sup). I will be bringing out the big guns tomarrow, crickets. He cant resist them. Ill get him a weeks supply and start mixing the sups to adjust him.
