gecko weight

hi guys/gals

I was just wondering what an adult leo should weigh roughly? and how often do you weigh your guys and what brand/kind of scales do you use? Thanks in advance.......Shaun

I'm not sure what the max weight for adults are, but I'd say it would be between 55-100+ or so depending on the sex - with females weighing less. Geckos are sorta like people in that each is different, some will grow to a very large size and some will remain on the small side.

I weigh my leos once a month - more if I suspect something might be wrong and when I first get them to make sure they're gaining weight. I use a small gram kitchen scale I got at Wal-Mart for like $15. I forget the brand, but so far it works very well.

I didn't know you could get them at walmart. Are they in the food section?

yeah some people have purchased theres at walmart I ended up purchasing mine at staples the pelouze brand for like $60 bucks kind of expensive though

sorry didnt mean to over post not sure how to edit my other posts. anyhow my adult leo weighs 93 grams and my smaller leo weighs 66 grams

This sounds good to me. The biggest full grown gecko I have is around 125 grams, the smallest is around 45. I got my scale from ebay for around $20-$25. It will go up to 11lbs in weight and it measures in one gram increments.
