I have a hatchling that seems to have pockets of subcutaneous fluid under its jaw and in front of its forelegs. The pictures below are pretty blurry, but you may be able to see what I'm talking about. Does anyone have any idea what this is and how to take care of it?

It could be lymphatic fluid, and according to my vet it is not dangerous. You may want to cut down on it's calcium supplementation for a little while and see if it resolves itself.

So this is a possible overflow of calcium, from the arm pits into the neck?

Thanks for the responses. I'm sorry for the blurriness of the pictures. If you look at the first one right below the white neck band, the lower jaw which is orange with black spots balloons way out so the head looks about twice as wide as it should be. The second one is even worse in blurriness, but I think you may be able to make out the bloated profile. Marcia, do you think it makes any sense to aspirate these pockets? I wouldn't do it myself. My brother is a vet who has the technical skills to do it but he is not a reptile specialist.
