Gecko with pale tongue

I have a male SHTCTB that I purchased. He has been eating, and has put on some weight. I was working with him on getting some stuck shed off his head today, and he opened his mouth for me. His tongue was a pale color. Not pink like all of the other geckos I have. Has anyone ever had a gecko that has a pale colored tongue. Do you think he could have something going on? He is active, and I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary other than he is gaining weight slower than most of my other leos. Any Ideas???

I’ve had some with pale tongues before. Normally, they seem to go back to normal.

Hey thanks Nick. That is about the color of his tongue, but it doesnt have the darker color at the tip. It is pretty much all just that pale color. I guess I will just have to keep an eye on him.

He'll be fine hopefully his tongue will go back to normal.
