My leopard gecko won't eat and flakes are coming off of her. Please help. She is very dear to my heart. I'm very worried.:worried:

The flakes might be just shed. Without a picture it's hard to tell... Does she have a humid hide? If she's shedding, she won't eat for a day or two; that's normal. She's eating her shed.

How long have you had her? New leos sometimes don't eat in the beginning, when they're still getting used to their new environment. If you had her for longer than a week, maybe try waxworms. Does her tail look thin or normal?

I'm not sure she's shedding because little flakes are coming off instead of the large patches. And I've had her for about a year now and she dosn't have a humid hide. I don't have one because she sheds very well. Her tail is somewhat thick.

I figured out what was wrong with her! She was being bullied by the youngest of the 3 tank mates. I was about to fall asleep when I wanted to check Leah one last time to see her activity. I saw Crystal violently biting poor Leah who didn't fight back (and no, the were not breeding because they are both female). So I took crystal out of the tank and put her in a temperary critter keeper with water, a hide, and substrate. Ever since I took Crystal out (ten miniutes ago), Leah is back to her usual self. I've seen her lap some water up and hide again. Tomarrow, I'm going to try to feed Leah. If she doesn't eat due to traumatism, I'll try force feeding to get her eating habits back. Wish me luck!;)

Well, turns out the worry is not over. Crystal is a guy (had to rename him Rexy)! I broke them up during the mating ritual that night which I tought was bulllying because I thought the were the same gender. The breeder I got her, I mean him from was wrong. Geez that makes me angry:furious3:! I doubt that was the only time they mated. Leah is pretty fat and has a thick tail, so I think she's allright. But Rexy's too young. What am I going to do!!:worried:
