Gecko's Armpits

I just got a new gecko and her armpits look different than my older one's.

On the new one's armpits, there's depressions, while on my older one there's a kind of bubble growing outward. I thought this might of been just from age, because I could see that she has extra skin around her neck and looks wrinkly (she's 5).

Is something wrong with my old gecko?

In a book i was looking at said that geckos get a fatty deposit behind their front legs when mature. It was referring to breeding. Just a book so could go either way.

sounds like that is what it is . Fatty deposits under front legs
usually means a very healthy gecko aka fatty. when the tail can no longer hold excess fat it goes there.

Yeah, there have been other posts about this, and I believe someone had a vet take a look and they found calcium, I believe? No one knew for sure, and I could deffinately see it being fat, as mentioned above. Either way, it's nothing to be worried about. About the depressions, is it a really skinny leo? When I first got mine she had that as well, after a month or so of good feeding, it went away. Again, nothing to be worried about.

I had a cytology done on my animal with "bubbles" behind the arms and it turned out to be trace protein with NO calcium.

Interesting. My biggest girl has them and my new little he/she is getting them and he/she is only 20g (and growing very fast)!
