FACT OR FICTION?

Nice video HJ. In a lot of your videos ive seen those tile ramps you use and i was just wondering, How do you hook them onto a surface?

Hi John. Thanks for comments.
Yeah ramps, highways, step ups, in many cases come from just
cutting the width you want off of those wall/counter tile that are supposed
to get grout in the seams. Lots I get are 2" squares on a 12" full piece.
I use them in most of my gecko places.
A couple methods to stay in place....#1 takes fooling with adjusting
the heights with build ups from, the to and from locations.
I use hides, rocks, slate, etc. to make it work. They just settle in place when you have it so the hinge places look sturdy. I always test with my hand weight to see if I'm assured the weight of a gecko will be OK. Once you set one you will know.
#2 Some fancier, like cobble stone 2" x 12" sections I glue on the bottom
surface not to be stiff and straight but flexible with more firmness.
These can be arched more since they are not a total hinged ramp.
These usually come with a mesh holding them in place.
Many non toxic glues as Dupont aquarium cement.
Gem-Tac by Beacon is one I use (non-toxic, non-flammable, dries clear)
Need more info or questions..OK to PM me, no problem.
I put a few threads on about other useful things to make for gecko homes.
Can check them out on this page link below
( 3 or 4 threads on U- Can Make Stuff).
Take care. HJ
