My two adult females haven't eaten a thing in about three months. They are very active and out just about every night and they drink water pretty often but they just won't eat. Due to a tight budget I have only been offering wax worms, meal worms, super worms, and crickets and they won't even look at them! Summer Johnson from Celebrity Geckos(the breeders of my geckos) told me that I should take them in asap to the vet. I want to try anything else I can because I don't have like any money. I will try all suggestions this weekend but if they do not start eating I will take them in to the vet somehow next week. They are both big girls at 90+ grams but this is a big drop from there normal weight. Any help is extremely appreciated.

Are they in the same enclosure, if so you could try separating them for a while. Make sure your temps are good also, if they are too cold that can lower their appetite.

I think you're offering a decent variety of feeders. Are they pooping at all? How much of a weight drop is it for them? I have had this happen with some of my geckos every year. It was particularly bad coming out of winter this year. I put a lot of my ideas about what to do in this article: http://www.geckotime.com/my-gecko-will-not-eat/

Yes they are in the same enclosure so I will seperate them and I will check the temps too. Thanks for the advice.

No they aren't pooping at all. It isn't too much of a weight drop for them, it is only about 10 grams. They are very good about maintaining weight but they still won't eat. I will check out your thread thanks.

I've had females go off food for a few months before when ovulating. Can you see if they're ovulating, too?

Yes I can but how do you do that? I have heard that you are supposed to use a flashlight and put it up to the stomach and look for sicrcles. Is this right?

I've never used a flashlight. Just gently bend them over and you should be able to see thru their skin.

You're looking for a bright pink spot on the belly, about the size of a pencil eraser. Kelli posted a good example picture here.

my first leopard gecko, Spaz, has become like this. she's not ill, and she will take a mealworm, cricket, or waxworm every once in a while, like once every two weeks. she poops and pees. but will not eat.

maybe your leos have not come out of brumation....meaning, that when its cold outside, they lower thier intake of food. my other leo, Wretch, could eat 24/7 if i let her.

i would separate them, and try feeding them separatly. leave a bowl of mealworms in their tanks, fresh water, etc. keep offering them the variety of food.

keep us updated. i hope they're okay.
