I'm talking about cutting open eggs here, so some people may find it gross. Wondering if anyone else has ever seen this. We had an egg that was fertile, but failed to hatch. When we cut it open the interior was firm like gelatin with some faint pink veins on the very outside edges. We had never had an egg like this before. Usually the ones that don't make it either have a partially formed animal that died, or don't get beyond the bulls-eye stage of vein development, and are fluid inside. Sorry I don't have a pic as the camera was not handy. It seriously looked like that gel they use for ballistics tests.
