Hey, okay I know Gem Snows exist, but how many people are working with them? What do they cost? Are they dominate, or co-dominate? Who has pics (I’ve seen the wiki pics, but anymore would be great) what have they been crossed into? When where they discovered? When where they released? Any info would help here, Thanks.

Here's the most recent snow thread I could find. I like them. I don't know the history off hand. They are more white I think than macks. There's been a few crossed with albinos but I haven't found a pic yet-anyone want to share? Not sure about the dominance issue. There's a thread here somewhere on outcomes of gemxgem, tugxtug, tugxgem, mack x all of those...

I am working with them (soon). It is the only snow morph that I intend to work with. I know a few other breeders here in the South are/have worked with them. Not much info out there (I've looked). This morph began with Reptilian Gems (hence the name, "Gem Snow") Jim Holler has posted a bit of info on these threads about them, if you want to track it all down.

From what I have read: They get whiter as you line breed them (similar to the TUG), they will NOT produce a SS unless crossed with a Mack (same with TUG), they are incomplete dominant creating a blending of traits (according to Reptilian Gem). These are not from the TUG or Albey line. I believe Reptilian Gem obtain the line from wild caught but don't remember the details off hand (hmmm... in my notes somewhere.... someone jump it???) If anyone has more info, I am all ears (or... ummm.... eyes!)

Anyway, looking forward to working with this morph more extensively.

I am still doing crosses right now, SO there will be more. I really like the offspring a good bit more than the macks. Look at them!
