1. If you're feeding mealworms, keep a bowl in the cage. If you're feeding crickets, put a bunch in and take out the uneaten ones after about half an hour. Feed every day. The leo will regulate itself. When it gets to about 25 grams or so, it may not eat as much

2. Keep a small bowl of calcium without D3 in the cage at all times

3. Dust the food about once a week with calcium with D3 and once a week with vitamins

4. Keep the water fresh, the heat good and the poop cleaned out of the cage

5. Look for some caresheets and read a bunch. The information that repeats over and over is probably the correct stuff

6. Follow the suggestions above, relax and enjoy your leo and try not to worry about it too much

7. If you have more specific questions, ask them here.

Check the ingredients on your calcium. D3 is a vitamin that all creatures need in different amounts. They use it to make the calcium they take in work for them. The calcium is no good without D3. D3 can be gotten from sunight but unless you're keeping your leos outside you need to either give them some to eat or use a light that gives off ultraviolet light (I'm really oversimplifying this). Since leos are nocturnal, they don't need much D3 and giving it to them all the time can make them sick. That's why you need both kinds of calcium, so the leo gets enough calcium and some, but not too much D3.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS

I have 3 hides now,the left side is for shedding with moss in it,the log in the middle is the 1st dry hide, and the hide on the right is the 2nd dry hide,I got it yesterday.I keep a 60 watt red light on all day,and give him(well now will give him)like 10 crickets or 5 mealies and 5 crickets a day,if my gecko will eat.He shedded 4 days ago,so maybe that's whyI also keep fresh water in every day and clean the tank 1 time a week.

Do I need to do more?
