Generator?

Well last night we had a horrible wind storm that lasted just about all day. Lots of wildfires were started at the last estimate I heard was the about 85,000 people lost power, and it probably won't be completely restored until Wednesday. Luckily, I wasn't one of those people.

But it got me thinking, what would y'all do in that situation? Do you have generators for your racks and incubators? Or some other means of keeping heat to your leos?

I live in a Rural area. For internet and tv you need satillite and for a gas stove you need to have a propane tank. We had a big storm in January and lost power for only about 20 minutes but a breeder about 35 minutes from me lost power for a day. She rushed and used heat packs to keep her leopard geckos warm. She is going to get a generator and I am .

I have 2 Honda generators that I bought back in 1999, and have used them on and off over the years. We also have a gas fireplace and a woodburing stove just in case. It wouldn't be to difficult to keep my Geck at 85 or so in am emergency.
