genetics question

ive been breeding leopard geckos and bearded dragons for a few years. this is my first year having some dragons with some color and genetics. my male is a dachiu clear nail hypo (the yellow one) and my female is a dachiu, sandfire cross. is the clear nail hypo a ressesive trait making the hatchlings hets? thanks kirk

From my understanding of the gene, it is recessive and you can get het from breeding a clear nail to a normal nail. They usually aren't marketed as het's though, or atleast I've never seen them that way. You could always start a new trend.

btw... great looking babies. They've got some great color to be so small.

For the female she is a sandfire cross. If dachiu sold you the dragon as sandfire cross with nothing else, then it is a cross with a normal.

What is she crossed with?

As for the babies they are 50% het for clear nail.

They should be 50% het for Hypomelanistic. Not sure i will have to look in to it again?
