I am new to breeding and I am not very familiar with the leopard gecko genetics. I don't really like using the gene calculators because I can never find the morph of my 1st female. Can anyone tell me what the morphs would be for:
1.) Bell albino + Mac snow/normal het. raptor =
2.) Bell albino + Super giant, high yellow/ tangerine =

Well first number one shouldnt be paired. Bell and Tremper are not compatible. You will get a bunch of normals and mack snows double het tremper and bell. The second if the Super Giant isnt het for tremper which it prob is you will get some normals and some tangs that are poss het giant and het bell research research research

1.) Tremper albino + Mac snow/normal het. raptor =
2.) Tremper albino + Super giant, high yellow/ tangerine =

I would recommend posting a pic of your tremper/bell as to allow people to help identify for sure for you to avoid mixing the genes.

I'm sure someone will eventually tell you what you'll get, but I continue to feel strongly that you will be a better breeder if you can figure it out yourself. Here's something that could help you get started:
Tremper albino - is simple dominant/recessive: 1 copy can pass the gene to next generation but doesn't show; 2 copies will always look albino

Mack Snow - co-dominant: 1 copy will be a snow, 2 copies super snow. If the hatchling doesn't look like a snow it has no snow genes

Tangerine - line bred: the better the tang, the better color the offspring will be

Raptor - this one's complicated because RAPTOR is a combination of Eclipse, Tremper albino, patternless stripe and tang coloring. Just because an animal is "het raptor" it doesn't mean it necessarily will pass down all those characteristics to offspring. Eclipse and albino are simple recessive/dominant. Tang is line bred. Stripe is more complicated and the jury is still out on dominant vs. line bred.

Giant: I'm not sure about that one; I don't work with giants.

If you understand the basic genetic terms (and I don't advise breeding until you do) and work through the combinations, you'll figure out what you're going to get and will be in a much better position in subsequent years to plan and adapt your projects. The leopardgeckowiki.com site is very helpful if you look up specific morphs and read the articles about them.

I hope this is helpful, which is how I intended it.

I talked to a breeder and sadly it is a bell. But I am going to get a tremper line morph at repticon Orlando th 21 & 22nd. I will be breeding just not with the bell. i also found the parent genes of the mack snow/normal het. raptor from the breeder i got her from. Mom: enigma het. raptor dad: super snow tremper het. raptor. once again i am getting a definate tremper line morph at repticon fire. and i will not be breeding the bell but i may in the future if i get another bell line gecko. thankyou so much for helping.

i is not possible to to distinguish with any certainty one albino strain from the others by looking at them alone. you must know the genotypes of your animals, otherwise they are just guesses at best
