Very cool.I like the idea. Are you using the new Ebay Affiliates to promote the items? If so, that's awesome the new tools they have. I haven't really searched through their options, but I need to.

Yep! Finally, I way to help pay for the servers for all my reptile websites... and maybe even help a few people find fair priced products for their pets.

Good idea. I definitely need to check out the affiliate tools. All I've done is sign up and create campaigns to use. Haven't looked around much.

When you make a sale, will the program show you what item was purchased? That was the one thing I hated when they were using Commission Junction.

You can find out with both CJ and EPN... just have to know where to look.

Steve the new Ebay doesn't use CJ. They're running it on their own. I've never been able to see the exact item on CJ. Where should I look? I've only been able to find individual revenues and whatnot.

Whitney, that is correct. However during the month of April both programs are running concurrently. There is a performance incentive being offered to early adopters of ebay's inhouse program (EPN).

For both, you can see the actual product ID. It does require a little bit of footwork to then punch that into ebay and see what it corresponds to, however.

On EPN, you want to choose the option to download transaction reports (Transaction Download, from the reports tab)

You'll get a line by line string of data on each transaction. The fourth from last entry on each line is the item id...

put the Item ID into the search box on ebay and it'll show you the exact auction.


It's a similar process with CJ.... download the cj report in excel format and under Order ID it's the second set of numbers...

Steve the programs will run simultaneously through May I believe.

I found the transaction report a few weeks ago, after I posted this. But I still can't find the on in CJ, but I'm not really worried about it.
