I just bought a leopard gecko and it is currently unsexed. I would like to buy one in the future and I was wondering if I can house these together. I got a 20 long tank and I am wondering if its cool if at some point I will put another gecko in there- a different sex of course. would it be cool if I get a tangerine gecko even though the gecko I already have is a regular leopard spotted gecko. Let me know!!! Thanks!!

You could totally put another gecko in there with him as long as you know the gender of both. You deffinately don't want two males together! But if you have a male and get a female, or a female and another female, those combinations would work. Two females is easier because you don't have to worry about breeding, and you don't have to get another tank in the future to seperate out the two to give the girl a break from him.

That is totally up to you! If you want to breed then that's up to you, but keep in mind that you might not sell the babies :/ I'm not saying that to be mean, but that is probably not a good mix to start a small gecko buisness on. But if you'd keep all of them then that's up to you. And if they're both females you can have whatever colors you want, that's up to your personal preference :)

Olimpia pretty much said everything, but if your unclear, you can house any coloration you want together. But if you plan on selling them then thats a bad choice. I beat people would take them for free though

is it cool if I do it when my gecko is 6 months old. mine is a baby now and I cant get one more til like 5 months away. So if it turns out if my gecko is a female, Ill put another female in m tank when its 6 months old- my question is would the females fight if they didnt grow up together and are introduced to each other at 6 months of age?

No, not at all. I've heard people have bad luck with their girls and suddenly have them fight (although I don't know how much I trust this person... she's not that bright so one could perfectly have a young male mistaken for a female or something). But I have been switching my girls around lately because I've been reorganizing the setups and I'll put several girls together who don't know each other and they'll immediately settle in without a problem. Mine just look at each other, lick a few times, and just go to sleep in their new hides. So I've had zero issues with my girls.

My 2 girls are literally sisters from the same hatch, I've never had problems with them not getting along, in spite of the fact that the one girl is a 75g giant and the other is probably 54g. As long as you're sure they'd both be females I think you SHOULD be fine in most cases, but there is always the chance that they may not get along which does happen often. You need to be prepared for that, and take the steps to prepare a separate enclosure for the new leo in case they can't be kept together. Either way, you do need to quarantine your new gecko for at least 30 days but preferably a full 3 months to be on the safe side so that you can be sure there are no infectious diseases with your new one. The health of the animal should be more important than anything.
