Getting leo to find food dish?

Hey all. I got a SHTCTB yesterday and she is beautiful. Only question i have is how do you guys get you're new leos to find their food dish? mine is kinda high for it to see into still i guess, but i dont really have anything that can replace it. I took the meal worms and let gabby hunt them, which she did gladly lol She loves to eat! just want to get her using her meal worm dish! Any suggestions will help! Thanks in advance

Same problem here!! I am still hand feeding. It has been a month, and mine still not eating out of dish. I am interested to see suggestions.

Just throw the worms onto the paper towel! They crawl out of most food dishes, anyway.

Otherwise, eat a jar of peanut butter and use the lid. Works great

Clear glass candle holders work great. They're heavy enough to keep from tipping over and the geckos can see wiggling worms. I get mine at Dollar Tree.

I put the food dish next to the hides so that when they are sitting on top of the hide they stumble upon the dish from the better viewpoint.

Yes I agree with the clear dishes..... This is what I use for my baby leos. Go to 7/11 and get a big gulp or whatever size you want. Finish it then wash out the cup. Cut the bottom of the cup off and you have an instant free food dish that they can see the worms in.

If you buy it for the drink then you end up getting a free dish out of it. Other wise its like 2.00 for for a dish fi you just but the drink and dump it out. Hell they might even give you a free cup.

I bought food/water dishes for my soon-to-be leo, but now after I saw this I might think that they might be a little too high. If they are I'll go for the glass dishes!

I have another question to add onto that question: So can leo babies ready to be fed from a dish right away?

Thanks all!! guess ill get a little shorter clear dish of some sort lol and i guess i could just throw them in there cause thats what im doing right now and she snatches them up quite fast lol

Matt, I use a little step for some of the tots, it's just a gatorade cap they can walk up on and get into the dish. A rock or something decorative can be used as well.
