Hey all so sometime soon Im going to be getting my first crestie. I have kept leopard geckos before so this wont be my first gecko. I want to get a baby so I can raise it and watch it grow. I as going to get the zoomed cage that is 12x12x18. Would that be to big for a baby? I read somewhere that if you put them in a cage that was to big for them then they could get stressed out. Also I want to feed them the TRex Crested Gecko Diet, is this ok for a baby? thanks for the help

If you are gonna raise up a baby, you are better off starting them in a smaller container such as a small Kritter Keeper. This way they can easily find their food. Once they are around 4 months old or 10grams then move them to your bigger cage. Hope this helps and good luck with your crestie search :)

Ok cool thanks. I work at a petstore but we dont carry the cresties. I called our supplier and they said that they did have baby cresties in, but I dont know what they consider babies. Im going to go to the supplier with the owner of the store this comming wednseday to pick up our shipment of reptiles. Ill hopefully get the crestie then. If they are that small then Ill put them in Kritter Keeper. Thanks again
