Congrats! and I do have a few tips for yah...
Don't handle him for at least 5 days. You don't want to stress him out!
also, make sure you have a proper set-up for him( paper towls as bedding, hides, fresh water and under tank heater)
Watch him, make sure he's eating, pooping, and active. But the first couple days he may not do these things, that's normal as he's just getting used to the change.
Enjoy Him! owning leos is very fun :)

Sounds about right. Ask us if you have any questions, and we REALLY like pictures, so post some once the guy is settled.

Congrats! Leos are great little pets, they actually have a lot of personality for a reptile. I know I was surprised when I got my first. And then you're hooked, and before you know it you have several lol.

If you are totally new to keeping a reptile I would go and invest in a good book about keeping a leo. The Herpetoculture of Leopard Geckos with Ron Tremper as one of the authors is pretty good. It'll answer a lot of questions you're going to have about set-ups and that kind of thing. The only thing I want to add to GeckoGal's post would be that you're not restricted to paper towel, but you can use tile, or newspaper - just about anything of that sort, so there's no risk of your little one getting sick from swallowing small substrate if he's too small to handle it. Older geckos can be kept on more creative stuff if you're into decorating tanks like I am lol, like rocks, dirt, and driftwood.

Oh, and I'd learn what websites to get your feeders from, that will save you so much money. Because 24 crickets from a chain pet store is about $4, but you can get 2000 crickets for $20 from a website... so you can see where you save money lol. And you can find hundreds of sites explaining how to keep crickets, or mealworms, so it's not tough.

That's all I can think of. I'd get a good book and if you have any more questions feel free to ask them on here, people are always willing to answer them :)
