Getting the lingo down

I'm flirting with my first leo purchase and leo-project of Bold Stripes x Tangerines to work on Halloween leos. Bold Stripe was fun to learn about - selective breeding and all that stuff.

Tangerine is confusing me. I see references to "Tangerine" and SHT, which I've figured out is Super Hypo Tangerine. So, my question(s):

Are Tangerine, Hypo Tangerine, Super Hypo Tangerine all the same morph? and is tangerine genetic recessive or another selectively bred morph?

Thanks,
Kitty

p.s. Pictures to illustrate the differences, if they're not the same morphs, are greatly appreciated 'cause I'm a "visual monkey."

Tangerines are a line-bred trait, with variations of hypo, superhypo depending on howmuch patterning or spots they have. Most SHT's will revert back to their spotted version (default gene) if not crossed with other SHT's.

I tried for several years to produce a bold stripe tangerine, but the hypo tangerine interfered with the bold stripe genes.

Here is a couple of Halloweens I produced back in '03:

Awesome! Thanks. That explanation helps me quite a bit. And I like the patterning on those Halloweens. Did their oranges deepen any?

Now, back to lizard shopping. Oh, boy!
