My new juvenile leo loves eating crickets but won't eat any mealworms. The workers at the pet store told me he needs to eat the mealworms and to keep trying but he just won't have them.
What should I do?

He does not need to eat them. it's ok, some just don't. You can try other insects like phoenix worms, silkworms, roaches and hornworms.

Leopard geckos have food preferences. As long as yours isn't hooked on waxorms, he's fine. Very few of my geckos will even look at a cricket but they all love superworms, appropriate sized of course.

Yeah, it isn't absolutely a necessity for a leo to eat mealworms as there are other staple forms of diet. If you do want to switch its diet to mealworms, however, there are plenty discussions on this forum that are really helpful in making the switch. Search it up! :D

+1 love all the responses, hate when pet store employees say they need to eat mealworms....i swear some of them are really clueless.
